Principal Groomer / Owner

Myke Ross

Myke has been grooming since 2005. Over the years, he has managed two grooming salons in the San Diego area. He adores all dogs (no matter how large or small) and cats, and takes pride in giving quality grooming to every one of them with a loving and gentle hand.

During his career, Myke has apprenticed with hands-on training under four seasoned groomers. He is very involved in the grooming community, as a member of International Professional Groomers (IPG), Southern California Professional Groomers Association (SCPGA), and the Professional Cat Groomers Association of America (PCGAA).

Myke stays on the cutting edge of grooming trends, products and technology by attending a variety of grooming conventions for continuing education, as well as networking with other professional groomers on a global basis.

In the unlikely case of an emergency, Myke is also certified in pet CPR and first aid.

As the proud parent of Rowdy (a Chinese Crested), Jolie (a Maltipoo), and Phillip (an American Bulldog that he rescued), he firmly believes that rescued dogs are the most rewarding dogs to own and to be owned by.

Kristen Hagberg

Kristen grew up showing and grooming horses for the Arabian Horse Association. In 2011 Kristen graduated as an Advanced Professional Pet Stylist from American Grooming Academy, in 2012 she went to Hawaii for 3 months to further her career learning creative grooming including Asian Fusion and coloring.

Kristen managed a grooming salon in Temecula for 4 years before joining our team.

She is the proud mama of her 3 year old daughter Ayla Rose and her 7 year old rescue dog Nikita. Kristen is also an avid rescuer and foster mama.

In the unlikely case of an emergency, Kristen is also certified in pet CPR and first aid.

Sabrina Nuttman

Sabrina has been grooming dogs since 2014. She grew up with lots of different animals including Airdale Terriers, cats and even hermit crabs. She has a love and passion for animals which lead to her pursue a career with them. In her free time she is an avid concert goer and also loves the beach.

Lori Ferdman

Lori has been in the grooming industry since 2012. She started as a bather at a mom n pop shop and worked her way up to a skilled and happy groomer! She loves to scissor and make every dog beautiful to its full potential and more! In her down time she is also a full-time mommy to her 1 year old son Luca.

Sorrento Valley

Megan Scott

Megan has been grooming for over 10 years. A lover of all dogs and the outdoors you can often find Megan at the dog beach, on a long hike or watching football or a Batman movie with her best friend Jordyn the rainbow tailed border collie. Megan also has a degree in Environmental Engineering from SDSU.

Lorie Stevenson

Lorie has been grooming for over 20 years. She does hand stripping and grooms all dogs and cats. When Lorie is not working she can be found spending time with her son Conner.

Em Brunning

Megan “Em” Brunning has been a certified groomer since 2007. Most of her experience was gained working for veterinarians grooming special needs and elderly dogs. Em describes herself as a sucker for big dogs and senior dogs. She enjoys taking her time when she grooms and loves putting bows on dogs. Em has two dogs – Beau-bear & Poodlie, and two cats – Stevie Wonder & Baby-meowing.

Em is currently enrolled in Animal Physical Therapy certification courses.
In the unlikely case of an emergency, she is also certified in pet CPR and first aid.

Mercedes Schmieding

Mercedes has been grooming for over 10 years. She has attended seminars regularly to expand her knowledge of the industry and help new groomers perfect their skill set. She specializes in poodles, hand scissor cuts, sporting and non-sporting breed cuts, as well senior pets. Mercedes believes that understanding a pet’s personality is key to cultivating a unique haircut, and pawsitive experience for each pet. She enjoys creating personality cuts to showcase each pets individuality. You can trust your pet will receive love and patience ( and maybe a serenade! ) while in Mercedes care.

Mercedes owns a 5 year old Standard Poodle named Bismarck (pictured). They enjoy going out to dog friendly businesses and long walks in the park.

Kaela Cuchetto

Kaela’s mom is a wildlife rehabilitation specialist and her dad is an environmental scientist so Kaela has spent her entire life loving and working with animals of all shapes and sizes. She prefers to let it be known that she loves both dogs AND cats equally, but for very different reasons of course! One of Kaela’s favorite parts of her job here at Absolute Pawfection is taking before and after photos of her prettied up furry pals!! You can find Kaela grooming doggies and kitties in the mobile unit.
